The project, the MADEIRAN HERITAGE program, is executed through the promotion of several monuments and attractions of Funchal, including the Jesuits' College of Funchal and the Church of St John the Evangelist.
As a volunteer in this program, you will have the opportunity to support the visitor's knowledge of the valuable material and immaterial heritage of our region through our cultural and historical circuits. In addition, you will help us provide free educational visits to educational establishments throughout the region, as well as free music, exhibitions, cultural tours, audio guides, and other initiatives.
Tasks:
- To take over guided city tours autonomously, which will be the major task at AAUMa
- To develop several activities directly related with AAUMa’s cultural projects
- To interact with Portuguese and foreign visitors in several fields such as
- Performing an educative visit to a school
- Performing sales in one of the shops of Associação Académica da Universidade da Madeira
- Promoting Associação Académica da Universidade da Madeira’s attractions in the streets
- General office work
- Translation tasks
- Writing articles
- Take part in tree planting activities.
